The Alan Rogers Campsite Awards - 2009
Presented at the Vakantiebeurs, Utrecht - 12th January 2010
The Alan Rogers Campsite Awards are designed to reflect the variety and the values which are conveyed in our guides.
We have carefully considered more than 2000 campsites featured in our 2009 guides and have taken into account comments from our campsite assessors, our head office team and, of course, our readers.
Our award winners cover a geographical area from Portugal to Slovenia, and, in all, we have made awards to campsites in 13 different countries.
It has proved an extremely difficult task to establish the eventual winners but we believe that we have identified a number of campsites with really outstanding characteristics.
In each case, we have chosen an outright winner, along with 2 highly commended runners-up.
Select an award category below to find full details of the award, winner and runners up.

Ty-Nadan is a well organised site set amongst wooded countryside along the bank of the River Elle. The 183 pitches for touring units are grassy, many with shade and 99 are fully serviced.
An excellent campsite on the eastern bank of the River Seine. This is a large campsite with English speaking administrative staff, numerous toilet facilities plus the advantage of a level site.
This is a well managed site with good facilities and a varied programme of high season entertainment for all the family. A busy site in high season, there are plenty of activities to keep children happy and occupied.
Close to the sea, Bois Soleil is a large site in three parts, with 165 serviced pitches for touring units and a few for tents. All the touring pitches are hedged, and have electricity, with water and drainage between two.
The 26 hectare estate has three lakes, two for fishing and one with a sandy beach and safe swimming area. There are 135 good sized touring pitches, level, terraced and hedged.
A superb site for a camping holiday providing for all family members, whatever their ages. A drive lined with palm trees and flowers leads from a large, very smart, round reception building at this impressive modern site.
