Camping du Donant is a purpose-built municipal site conveniently situated for visiting the Trégor countryside, the pink granite coast, the beaches at Trégastel and the sculptured rocks of Ploumanach. The well maintained site has 91 pitches of which 71 are for touring units; 41 have 10A electricity with the remainder being more suitable for tents. The pitches are separated by young trees and bushes providing shade in some places. This is a very pleasant, spacious and reasonably priced campsite. Although there is no shop, bar, restaurant or takeaway, these are available in the town, a short walk away.

Just outside the gates are a bar and the entrance to Amoripark, a leisure centre popular with youngsters. It offers a wide range of aquatic and land-based activities, not to mention a bar and snack bar. Tickets are available at concessionary rates for campers. There is also a dedicated Youth Hostel (53 beds) on the campsite. This has its own wash block and games room, but may mean that the site becomes rather busy during school holidays. Reception has an excellent set of suggestions and itineraries for local places of interest.

Facilities at Camping du Donant

Toilet facilities are modern and clean. The main block has controllable showers and some washbasins in cubicles, Accessible Facilities, laundry with washing machine and dryer. A small block near the more distant pitches has two wet rooms and WCs. TV room. Play area. Boules. Entertainment programme (July/Aug). Bicycle hire. WiFi over site (charged). Chalets and tents to rent.

Directions to Camping du Donant

Site is on southern edge of Bégard mid-way between Guingamp and Lannion, just off the D767. Leave at St Laurent exit onto D32 and site is across the Amoripark roundabout.
