The Lawrences have been developing the park for over 50 years so it is well established with visitors returning every year. Extra fields have been added providing 230 pitches in total. As the site is on the side of the valley with wonderful views across to the Blackdown Hills, most of the pitches have been terraced with central or circular access roads. One field is dedicated to privately owned mobile homes, the other two fields contain some 112 seasonal and 34 touring pitches (all with 10A electricity), some super pitches, some all weather and a few on grass. There is a summer camping field for tents (no electricity). Your caravan can be towed to your pitch on request.
The environment is important and hedge rows are left natural whilst some of the original farm buildings have been utilized for the reception and information centre. A newer building houses a games room. The covered, heated swimming pool is a star attraction overlooked by a large conservatory and the Ploughman’s Bar and takeaway. Lyme Regis, 8.5 miles away, is the nearest beach and harbour and, being on the Jurassic Coast, fossil hunting is a must. The main A35 to Exeter runs along the top of the park so there may be some road noise, more so on pitches at the top of the site.
Facilities at Andrewshayes Holiday Park
Two fully equipped toilet blocks with family rooms and accessible sanitary facilities. Launderette. Microwave. Bar (weekend evenings only low season). Takeaway (mid July-end Aug). Shop in reception for essentials and Calor gas. Covered, heated swimming pool. Play area for younger children. Games room with video machines, pool table and new soft play area for young ones. WiFi (charged).
Directions to Andrewshayes Holiday Park
Site is 3 miles northwest of Axminster on A35. From Axminster follow A35 towards Honiton for 3 miles. Watch carefully for road sign for village of Dalwood, turn right and right again almost immediately for Dalwood. Site is well signed 150 yds. on right.
