Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Boissière
With trout in the river and carp in the lakes, la Boissière is a fisherman’s paradise. The site is situated on the banks of the River Lot, surrounded by wooded hills. Walking, swimming, canoeing or cycling are alternative pursuits here. Mature trees provide plenty of shade on 154 generous, partly hedged, grassy pitches, 80 of which are for touring with 6A electricity. Ten pitches are specially reserved for tents. Reception is housed in an old, converted farmhouse. The nearby old town of Saint Geniez-d’Olt should satisfy all shopping needs and day, or longer, fishing licences can be obtained there (the helpful site staff will advise).
There is direct access through the site to the river, which is suitable for swimming and canoeing. There is much of interest in the area and the Tarn gorges and Grands Causses are both within easy access.
Facilities at Camping la Boissière
Two modern, clean toilet blocks with washbasins in cubicles and preset showers. Baby changing facilities in female area. Accessible facilities (no rails in shower). Small laundry. Shop with basic provisions, bar/snack bar with terrace (July/Aug). New heated swimming pool and paddling pool (July/Aug). New multisports terrain. Tennis courts. Bouncy castle and playground. Entertainment is organised in July/Aug. Mobile homes, chalets and tents for rent. Free WiFi on part of site. Max. 2 dogs.

Directions to Camping la Boissière
From St Geniez-d’Olt follow the D988 eastwards towards Banassac. After 500 m. follow signs on right to la Boissière campsite.
