A member of the FranceLoc chain of sites, les Hauts de Ratebout is situated in the hills of the Perigord Noir. There are stunning views of the surrounding countryside from many of the 220 terraced pitches (41 for touring), which are mostly shady and level. They vary in size (90-100 sq.m), all with 10A electricity and some with water and drainage. There are 157 mobile homes, tents and chalets to rent, together with five gîtes. A tour operator has 25 pitches for tents. Large motorhomes and twin-axled caravans are accepted by prior arrangement.

There is a good restaurant with an extensive menu and reasonably priced food. Ingredients are locally produced where possible. There are two heated swimming pools, one covered. There is also a heated pool for younger children. Slides and toboggans complement the area. There are many sporting activities on site and a children’s club in high season. Disco nights, films and shows are arranged in high season for both adults and children. The walled town of Belvès is well worth a visit.

Small shop (with gas) and takeaway service. Restaurant/bar with terrace. Swimming pool complex. Adventure playground. TV/games room. Tennis. Boules. Multisports pitch. Organised activities in season. Nightly videos and sporting events. Only gas barbecues permitted. Free WiFi over part of site. Dogs are not accepted.

Directions to Camping les Hauts de Ratebout

From Belvès, take D710 southwards for 2 km. then turn east on D54. After 2 km. turn left, and after a further 500 m. left again (following campsite signs all the way). Site is 1.5 km. along on a narrow, one-way road.
