This municipal site is located 800 m. from the Atlantic beach at Mimizan-Plage. This is a large site with 609 pitches of which 463 are available for touring units. The rest are occupied by mobile homes and chalets (available to rent; one adapted for campers with disabilities). Pitches are well shaded beneath pines and many are equipped with 6-10A electricity. A separate area (without electricity) is reserved for tents. Leisure amenities include a multisport terrain, two beach volleyball courts and a climbing wall. An entertainment and activity programme is organised in peak season, including a programme for children.

The site operates to very strict environmental guidelines. Economy lighting, for example, is used throughout and a water economizer system is also in place. Guests of the site are required to wear a special bracelet which aids security and ensures access to all site amenities. During high season, a well stocked shop is available as well as a fast food facility (including breakfast and takeaway meals). Off site, Mimizan-Plage is a lively resort development with many shops, cafés and restaurants.

Directions to Camping de la Plage

Approaching from the north, leave N10 at Labouheyre and follow signs to Mimizan on D626. Drive though the town and follow signs for Mimizan-Plage. Site is clearly signed and is to the north of the river.
