Now part of the Park Holidays group, Peppermint Park is a green oasis in a popular holiday area. Extensive, green, sloping fields edged with mature trees have been partly terraced to give level pitches for caravans and some more informal areas that cater for tents. There are 60 holiday homes (many privately owned but some to rent) along with timber lodges to rent close to a small fishing lake. There are 250 touring pitches, 200 with 16A electricity, which are marked and numbered. Tarmac roads thread through the site giving easy access to all areas. Heated outdoor pools include a water slide in the larger pool. Nightly entertainment is staged in the Peppermint Club in high season.
Facilities at Peppermint Park
The two well kept sanitary blocks can be heated. Two units (WC, washbasin and shower) for disabled visitors. Fully equipped baby room. Laundry (washing machines, dryers and free irons). Shop with gas. Coffee shop. Bar with entertainment. Restaurant and takeaway (28/5-10/9). Swimming pools (28/5 - early Sept). Adventure playground on a hill. Field for ball games. Small coarse fishing lake (£5 for adult day ticket).
Directions to Peppermint Park
Leave the M5 at exit 30 and take A379 Dawlish road. Pass through Starcross (7 miles) then turn left to Dawlish Warren just before Dawlish. Continue for 1.5 miles down hill and park is on left in 300 yards. O.S.GR: SX978788.
