This very large site, situated in an extensive wood, describes itself as ‘un Hôtel de Plein Air’ and prides itself on its spaciousness and its trees. A keen birdwatcher told the owner that he had seen 50 different species of birds. There are 450 pitches of which 307 are for touring scattered among the 14 hectares of woodland, mainly shaded but some in clearings. One section at the top of the site across a minor road is always quiet and peaceful. 110 pitches have electricity (3, 6 or 10A) of which 67 also have water tap and drainage. There are also 134 mobile homes and chalets for rent.
Facilities at Camping Parc du Guibel
Five sanitary blocks: the newest is smart and well equipped, with controllable showers and washbasins. Two others have been partially refurbished to the same standards. The others are rather old-fashioned, with preset showers and washbasins in cubicles. Facilities for disabled visitors. Baby room. Laundry facilities. Motorcaravan service point. New swimming pool complex (1/5-15/9). Bar, snack bar, takeaway and restaurant (July-Aug only).
Directions to Camping Parc du Guibel
Piriac-sur-Mer is 90 km. west of Nantes and 18 km. northwest of La Baule. On N165 from Vannes, leave at exit 15 towards La Roche Bernard, turn left to join D774 towards La Baule. 8 km. after Herbignac, turn right on D52 to St Molt and Mesquer towards Piriac. Do not take the coast road but turn left on D52. Site signed on right in 3 km.

The 26 hectare estate has three lakes, two for fishing and one with a sandy beach and safe swimming area. There are 135 good sized touring pitches, level, terraced and hedged.
