This well tended, tranquil campsite overlooking a lake, with views of a forest and the 19th century Château de Montrifaut, is a real countryside haven for relaxation. The birdsong includes nightingales and golden orioles. The 61 marked, grass pitches have 6A electricity, a small hardstanding area for a car and are separated by a variety of maturing trees giving some shade. There is a separate area nearer the lake for tents. There is no organised entertainment but a play area and a fenced area of the lake, with beach for swimming and paddling plus plenty of space, will keep children happily amused.
Facilities at Flower Camping de l’Etang Neuf
Two very clean sanitary blocks include washbasins in cabins. Dishwashing and laundry sinks. Washing machine, ironing board and baby room. Separate shower and toilet rooms for disabled people are in the lower block. Motorcaravan services. Bar (1/7-31/8). Bread and croissants to order. Boules. TV/games room. Internet access (WiFi).
Directions to Flower Camping de l’Etang Neuf
From N81 (Autun - Bourbon-Lancy) turn left onto D27/D25 just west of Luzy and continue for about 11 km. Turn right, D42 in centre of Issy-l’Évêque, signed to campsite. The road narrows slightly, entrance on the right.
