Strung out along the bank of the Lot river, this small, spacious, delightful site is family run. The enthusiastic and very friendly Dutch owners are making many improvements here including the addition of a new swimming pool in 2008. There are 65 grassy, fairly level pitches with 61 for touring (6A electricity, long leads advised). The pitches are separated by maturing trees and some hedging with views over the river and the wooded gorge. Some pitches have little shade. Swimming and canoeing are possible from the small pebbly beach. The site makes a good base for exploring this interesting and beautiful region by car, bike or on foot.
Facilities at Camping la Plaine
Old style but very clean central block and small satellite block with all necessary facilities. Facilities for disabled visitors. Washing machine, ironing board. Small bar/restaurant with takeaway (all season). Bread to order. Swimming pool with patio. River fishing and bathing from pebble beach. Tennis. Boules.
Directions to Camping la Plaine
Site is northeast of Decazeville. Leave Decazeville on the D963 signed Aurillac. After 6 km. cross river and turn east onto D42 to St Parthem (6 km). Site is well signed.

The 26 hectare estate has three lakes, two for fishing and one with a sandy beach and safe swimming area. There are 135 good sized touring pitches, level, terraced and hedged.
