Directly on the shore on the south side of Lake Trasimeno, which is almost midway between the Mediterranean and the Adriatic, Sant Arcangelo is ideally placed for exploring Umbria and Tuscany. The area around the lake is fairly flat but has views of the distant hills and can become very hot during summer. Villaggio Italgest is a pleasant site with 208 touring pitches on level grass and, except for the area next to the lake, under a cover of tall trees. All pitches have electrical connections and cars are parked away from the pitches. The site offers a wide variety of activities and tours are organised daily.
Facilities at Camping Villaggio Italgest
The one large and two smaller sanitary blocks have mainly British style WCs and free hot water in the washbasins and showers. Facilities for disabled people. Motorcaravan services. Washing machines and dryers. Kitchen. Bar, restaurant, pizzeria and takeaway (all season). Shop. Recently enlarged Swimming pool. Tennis. Play area. TV (satellite) and games rooms. Disco. Films. Watersports, motorboat hire and lake swimming. Fishing. Mountain bike and scooter hire. Internet point. Wide range of activities, entertainment and excursions.
Directions to Camping Villaggio Italgest
Site is on the southern shore of Lake Trasimeno. Take Magione exit from the Perugia spur of the Florence - Rome autostrada, proceed southwest round the lake to S. Arcangelo where site is signed.
