Camping du Sabot is a campsite located in Saint-Maurice-de-Lignon, France. It is situated between the Gorges de la Loire and the river Lignon in a beautiful wooded, hilly area. The campsite is perfect for those who love nature and enjoy a peaceful and quiet holiday. The site has 102 grass pitches, of which 35 are for touring units, a 6/10-amp hook-up point, 43 permanent pitches, and 24 mobile homes or chalets available for hire. Various trees generously shade the pitches, and the site has few boundaries to enjoy the surrounding views from any pitch. Some pitches are equipped with a picnic table, and most have an excellent Wi-Fi connection.
The site is situated in an ideal location: right next to a pine forest and between the Gorges de la Loire and the river Lignon. The toilet block may look a bit outdated at first glance, but they are kept very clean. The necessary motorhome services are also offered to guests free of charge. Other on-site facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, children's playground, and archery lessons one day a week during the high season. For eats, there is a small snack bar open during high season, too, offering various drinks and quick bites to eat, including sandwiches, waffles, and ice cream. Wood-fired pizza is also available once a week too. A small grocery store on-site offers the essentials needed whilst staying here. You can hire bicycles directly from the site for those who wish to explore the surrounding area.
