07 July 2009
Visit the beautiful Camping Amsterdamse Bos site in Amsterdam.
Of the many campsites in and around Amsterdam, one of the very best is Camping Amsterdamse Bos.
The forest (Bos) here was established in 1934 and is therefore celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. It is now a beautiful nature park with all kinds of trees, paths, meadows, ditches, canals and ponds.
The cultural attractions of Amsterdam are close by. The centre is only 12 km away, and can be reached by bicycle (rent on site!), bus or tram.
The site itself is well shaded and extends along a canal. it boasts pleasant, light toilet blocks and a communal kitchen and dinner room, that can be used free-of-charge. Other amenities include a laundry, a playground, a good shop and several sorts of accommodations.
If you are considering a visit to Amsterdam, but also want to escape the hustle and bustle, a stay at Camping Amsterdamse Bos is a very good choice.

Ty-Nadan is a well organised site set amongst wooded countryside along the bank of the River Elle. The 183 pitches for touring units are grassy, many with shade and 99 are fully serviced.
An excellent campsite on the eastern bank of the River Seine. This is a large campsite with English speaking administrative staff, numerous toilet facilities plus the advantage of a level site.
This is a well managed site with good facilities and a varied programme of high season entertainment for all the family. A busy site in high season, there are plenty of activities to keep children happy and occupied.
Close to the sea, Bois Soleil is a large site in three parts, with 165 serviced pitches for touring units and a few for tents. All the touring pitches are hedged, and have electricity, with water and drainage between two.
The 26 hectare estate has three lakes, two for fishing and one with a sandy beach and safe swimming area. There are 135 good sized touring pitches, level, terraced and hedged.
A superb site for a camping holiday providing for all family members, whatever their ages. A drive lined with palm trees and flowers leads from a large, very smart, round reception building at this impressive modern site.
