Camping in Rhône-Alpes
Camping in Rhône-Alpes, located in the South-East of France, north of the Riviera is a prime destination for camping and caravanning. The region was named after the river Rhone and the Alps mountain range – with dramatic mountains like Mont Blanc, national parks, vineyards and rivers, it’s easy to see why its so popular camping, caravanning or holidaying with a motorhome in Rhône-Alpes.
The Rhône-Alpes capital is Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage site steeped in Roman history, not far from the lakes of the Dombes and the medieval village of Pérouges and Roman Vienne. The Rhone Valley is an area of area of natural beauty, from the sun-baked Drôme to the isolated mountains of the Vercors and the deep gorges of the Ardèche. Lovers of art and culture are drawn to the region’s ‘Villes d’Art’: Lyon, Annecy, Grenoble, Chambéry and Saint Etienne when camping.
The Rhône-Alpes gastronomy, championed by chefs Bocuse, Blanc and Orsi, is noted for its cheese and traditional dishes like rosette and fondue. Rhône Valley wines include Beaujolais and Côtes-du-Rhône appellations.

The Suquet family has worked hard to establish this comfortable, quiet, family site. In a beautiful location on the ‘Untamed Peninsula’ between Paimpol and Perros Guirec, attractive trees and shrubs provide a balance of sun and shade, edging the central road.
