This award is made to outstanding sites with extended opening dates and which welcome clients to a uniformly high standard throughout the year.

A large well-equipped holiday site with ewxcellent facilities making this site an ideal choice for a winter break. Amenities include an indoor pool and popular restaurant.

Recreatiecentrum de Schatberg (NL6510), Sevenum, Holland

A superb all-year site in an attractive woodland setting with exceptional facilities including bowling, a casino, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as many other activities.

6. Alan Rogers Seaside Award

This award is made for sites which we feel are particularly suitable for a really excellent seaside holiday.

Playa Montroig Camping Resort (ES8530), Montroig, Spain

Superbly organized and deservedly popular large site with direct beach access to a long, sandy beach. Friendly atmosphere and a very extensive range of amenities, including several bars and restaurants.

Camping Baia Blu La Tortuga (IT6955), Aglientu, Italy

A very well equipped site with direct access to a fine beach of golden sand. The site is always very well managed and has a good range of activities and entertainment.

Camping Bois Soleil (FR17010), St Georges de Didonne, France

This is a very popular, well established site with an excellent location next to a fine, sandy beach. Plenty of top quality amenities and entertainment, and a recently added swimming pool complex.

7. Alan Rogers Country Award

This award contrasts with our former award and acknowledges sites which are attractively located in pleasant, rural locations.

Stowford Farm Meadows (UK0690), Ilfracombe, England

A friendly family site set amidst the magnificent North Devon countryside. This site has been developed in fields and farm buildings and offers many activities including woodland walks and riding from the park’s own stables.

Castel Camping La Paille Basse (FR46010), Souillac-sur-Dordogne, France

A site with an idyllic setting near the interesting old town of Souillac. The site is a restored mediaeval village at the heart of a 200 acre wooded park and is an ideal base for exploring the Dordogne region.

Camping Romantische Strasse (DE3602), Münster, Germany

This beautiful small site is situated in a peaceful wooded valley just outside the small village of Munster, and much effort has been made to keep the natural appearance of the woodland.

8. Alan Rogers Rented Accommodation Award

Given the increasing importance of rented accommodation on many campsites, and the inclusion in many Alan Rogers guides, of a rented accommodation section, we feel that it is important to acknowledge sites which have made a particular effort in creating a high quality ‘rented accommodation’ park.
