Forest Glade, owned and run by the Wellard family, is set in the Blackdown Hills (designated an area of outstanding natural beauty), deep in mid-Devon away from the hectic life on the coast. A sheltered site set amongst woodland with extensive walking without using your car, there are 80 level touring pitches, 68 of which have 10/16A electricity connections, 4 have full services and 42 have hardstanding. Touring caravans must book in advance and the easiest route for them will be explained then (phone bookings accepted). Although set in the country, the beaches of East Devon are a fairly easy drive away.
Facilities at Forest Glade Holiday Park
There is one main toilet block, heated in cold weather, with some washbasins in cubicles. Separate suite for visitors with disabilities. Laundry with washing machines and dryers. Baby room. Extra facilities of ‘portacabin’ style with toilets, washbasins and showers are at the swimming pool. Drain for motorcaravan tanks. Shop is quite well stocked including gas, bread and pastries with a takeaway (open evenings except Sunday). Microwave in kitchenette. Adventure playground. Games room. Swimming pool (free). Sauna. All weather tennis court. Separate area for ball games. WiFi internet access. Caravan storage. New wildlife information room.
Directions to Forest Glade Holiday Park
Park (at the top of a steep hill) is 5.5 miles from M5 exit 28. Take A373 for 3 miles, turning left at camp sign, just past thatched pub on right, towards Sheldon. Park is on left after 2.5 miles. This access is not suitable for touring caravans owing to a steep hill - phone the park for alternative route details. O.S.GR: ST101073.

Ty-Nadan is a well organised site set amongst wooded countryside along the bank of the River Elle. The 183 pitches for touring units are grassy, many with shade and 99 are fully serviced.

Close to the sea, Bois Soleil is a large site in three parts, with 165 serviced pitches for touring units and a few for tents. All the touring pitches are hedged, and have electricity, with water and drainage between two.

The 26 hectare estate has three lakes, two for fishing and one with a sandy beach and safe swimming area. There are 135 good sized touring pitches, level, terraced and hedged.
